20 years have passed since the formation of The Shine in January 2004 but, certainly for now, it's time to call it a day. We've all moved on to different projects but remain very close - and will probably continue periodically in the studio. But for now it's a huge thanks to everyone who's played a part in our fantastic journey through the years.

First off, many thanks to our incredible bass players (in chronological order) - Mark (TSD) Palmer, Stuart Grant, Mike Gudgeon, Stevie Patrick, Dave Guild, John Petrie, Gordon Mackie, Tony Speed. Drummers (when Iain had other rare commitments) - David Loney, Jamie Mitchell, Alan Quinn.

But most importantly to the amazing venues and audiences we've played to, notably Finnegan's Wake in Edinburgh, Skye & The Coach House in Killin.

It's been a total riot playing as The Shine! Within the band we've experienced births, deaths, marriages, divorce, personal injury - but that's what good mates do. We were / are so much more than band mates.

So in the meantime, join us in reliving the glory days by checking out the photos and videos from throughout the years.

From Andy, Iain and I thanks a million and hopefully catch you in one form or another down the road somewhere.
